Course Description
The VIS course is a mentorship-style portfolio program for students preparing to apply to US and international art schools where originality, concept development, and personal voice are central to the admissions process. This course is designed for students who want to move beyond exam-based or formula-driven portfolios. Rather than being told what to make, students are guided to clarify what they care about, define their artistic direction, and learn how to communicate ideas visually and verbally—all in English. Students work on long-term projects with focused feedback and structured checkpoints. Alongside concept development, the VIS course supports technical growth, revision skills, and presentation training, helping students build cohesive portfolios that reflect clear intent and individuality. VIS focuses on developing artists who can think independently, articulate their ideas with confidence, and present their work clearly—skills that are essential not only for art school admissions, but for long-term creative growth.
